Blues the Next Generation - Sat 10th September
Blues Workshops
From 9am to 11:30am the first free workshops of the weekend will be held for young musicians covering everything from basic chord progressions through to soloing and improvisation.
Blues the Next Generation
From 12pm to 2pm young bands will be performing on the main stage. This free to enter event will feature artists who are all eighteen years of age or younger.

Acoustic and Traditional Blues
A free to enter event featuring two top blues artists performing on the main stage from 2pm to 4pm.

Blues at the Castle
Starting at 6:00pm, the "Blues at the Castle" event features four top blues bands from the East Midlands, the UK and perhaps even beyond.

Blues the Next Generation -Part 2
Blues Workshops
From 10am to 11:30am more free workshops will be held with the opportunity for all workshop participants to perform together on the main stage from Midday.
British Blues Awards
This year the British Blues Awards presentation will be a dedicated free to enter event on the main stage at Newark Blues Festival featuring a host of special guests and performances. Start time 1pm.

in accordance with local authority licensing of the venue no alcohol may be brought onto site. Full bar and catering facilities will be in place throughout the day.
