Blues at the Castle - Tickets
Blues at the Castle, featuring four top UK blues artists, takes place on Saturday 11th September 2010 with the first band taking to the stage at 5:30pm.
The only British artist to be featured in Classic Rock’s 2007 review “TOP 10 CONTEMPORARY
BLUES ARTISTS”, alongside The White Stripes, The Black Keys, John Mayer, Jon Spencer, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa, Derek Trucks and the North Mississippi Allstars.
A regular on the European festival scene, Sean has gained rave reviews for both his live and
recorded work receiving comments such as “Sean is a new legend in the making. He has rich
powerful vocals and searing guitar licks.”
Tipping Point is the latest band to feature former Out of the Blue front man Kevin Thorpe. In
the words of Nottingham Blues Society, “Kevin’s back and at his best, as for Dominic, one
helluva guitarist”.
Fronted by eighteen year old guitar sensation Virgil McMahon. “For such a young band the playing was as intuitive as it was spell binding. But above all Virgil and the Acelerators have an ability to get inside a song and turn it into something else” - www.getreadytorock.com.
