Blues at the Castle - Tickets

Blues at the Castle, featuring four top UK blues artists, takes place on Saturday 8th September 2012, with the first band taking to the stage at 6:00pm.

Stevie and Alan Nimmo, as The Nimmo Brothers, from Glasgow, Scotland have proved themselves to be one of the most respected exponents of modern blues the UK has seen since the blues boom of the 1960’s.

"Probably the best Texas Rock/Blues album never to come out of Texas! Hailing from Scotland The Nimmo Brothers are easily the most exciting rock/blues band to come out of the British Isles for years and this album proves it conclusively!"...

24Pesos have a unique and energetic take on the Blues that has put them at the forefront of the new Blues scene in the UK and have been toted as "The UK's most exciting and original Blues band." by Maverick Magazine. 24Pesos play original music, with deep understanding of the Blues history, virtuoso instrumentation a joyous groove, real songs and enough energy to bring the house down every night.

It's 2012. It's the third time around, and CHERRY LEE MEWIS means business. The 5ft-nothing, power-house singer songwriter has grabbed the musical bull by the horns and together with her smokin' hot band has produced an exquisite and exciting self-penned third studio album; the aptly titled Heard It Here First. An 11-track-breath-of-fresh-air in a somewhat predictable blues music scene.

The Unusual Suspects are a five-piece Blues band based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England. Their music comprises original material combined with a range of classic covers from a diverse mixture of artists from JJ Cale, through Ten Years After to Thin Lizzy.
